How to synchronize my Kamal GPS Navigaiton with my car audio system?

Kamal device (available in some countries) has an FM transmitter that allows you to transmit sound from the device through the speakers of your car audio system.
To synchronize the device with the car audio system perform the following steps:
Turn on the device and wait until it is in the main menu.
Go to 'Settings' > 'FM Transmitter' and make sure 'Use FM transmitter' option is selected.
This option will have to have a check-mark for synchronization with your car audio system.
It will be necessary to put the same radio frequency on the device and on the car audio system.
You should choose an FM frequency between 88.0 MHz and 108.0 MHz
Ideally, you should choose a frequency that is not assigned to a radio station.

Note: For an optimal experience, please detach your car's antenna, if possible.

Kamal GPS Navigation does not emit sound. What's the problem?

Kamal device (available in some countries) has an option that mutes the device when selected. In the main menu, go to 'Settings' > 'FM Transmitter' and make sure 'Use FM transmitter' is selected.
With this option selected, you can only hear the sound produced by the equipment if it is synchronized with the car audio system. You should remove the check-mark for the device to emit sound again.

Why can't I hear anything from NDrive, on my device?

To check that the equipment is emitting sound, do the following:
Open the device's main menu and select 'Settings”. Choose the option for sound and check the volume level. Then check the settings in the NDrive software (Menu > Settings > General > volume) since the sound can also be changed by the software.

My device screen is not aligned, what can I do?

In some situations, when you tap with your stylus on the screen there is wrong, or even no response to the touch. Go to device settings to calibrate the screen.

Note: Devices with capacitive screens do not need to be calibrated. If you experience this situation on a device with capacitive screen, please contact the manufacturers support.

It seems that NDrive is not fixing GPS signal, what can I do?

GPS Navigation

To fix a GPS signal more effectively put your device on the windshield of your car, as close to the dashboard as possible so as not to affect you’re driving. When used outdoors, NDrive will have more difficulty in fixing a satellite signal in locations of dense trees or with tall buildings. It is common not to be able to fix the satellite signal inside buildings. On first software use, the satellite fixing can take up to 30 minutes. The waiting time decreases significantly after first use. If you're travelling by plane and you significantly change country or continent it is normal for your device to take longer to obtain a quality signal. The GPS antenna is usually located on the back, on top of the appliance and should stay pointing towards the sky as much as possible, so its placement on seats or hands could slightly decrease signal quality.
There are cars on the market with bullet-proof glass that can significantly decrease (or even prevent) the reception of a satellite signal in good conditions. In this case you should move the GPS as close as possible to the side windows that are not shielded and avoid approaching the device to the windscreen, which will block the signal.
Checking GPS signal on NDrive software: start NDrive application. While on map view, the icon that indicates the status of the GPS signal should be fully shaded in red. With the icon that color, move outdoors to a location preferably in the open. Obtaining the signal can take up to 20 minutes, after obtaining the signal the icon that indicates the status of the GPS signal will change to blue and then to green when a very good quality GPS signal is obtained.

If the GPS status icon is always grey, you should contact the NDrive technical support.
If the message 'No GPS” appears, this is due to the fact that the equipment does not have an internal GPS antenna or the GPS settings of the device are not correctly set. Since each device has its specific settings, you should contact the manufacturer support so that the settings may be made available.

Why does my NDrive GPS Navigation not charging?

1 - If you are charging the device using a USB cable, please make sure the light that indicates the device is being charged is lit. If there is no indication that the device is charging, you should check the status of your USB cable and also the computer's USB ports.
2 - If the car charger is used, make sure the LED charger is lit (green or red depending on the charger). If not lit, the car charger may be damaged.

Why is my NDrive GPS Navigation refusing to turn on?

You can perform the following steps to check if the device turns on:

Connect the device to your computer using a USB cable and check if the light (LED) or the screen (for devices without LEDs) illuminate. If the LED or screen light up press the ON button for 4 seconds. If these steps are unable to turn on your device, reset it. The reset button is on the back or side of equipment and can only be pressed using a thin wire (e.g. a paper clip).

Possible errors during and after the update process?

GPS Navigation

NPlus application uses your internet connection, the USB connection and an operating system component of your PC to manage communications with mobile devices and to transfer the latest versions of software and data to your equipment.
Depending on the data to be transferred, the update may take several hours. A break in the connection may generate data integrity problems.
Possible anomalies during the update process:

Download error: this error occurs when NPlus cannot connect to our server; in this case update the web page of the updater and click again on 'Synchronize”.
If this error remains after several attempts, please contact our Technical Support.
Installation error: update the NPlus web page, and click again on 'Synchronize”. If this error remains after several attempts, please contact our Technical Support.
Application not found: install NPlus application again and make sure it is listed as an exception on your firewall. If this error remains after several attempts, please contact our Technical Support.
There is no available space to complete the operation: please get a bigger capacity memory card. If NDrive application is installed in the internal memory get a memory card with at least 1GB capacity. Check the table below to see the cards that may be used: Touch SE, Touch XL SE, Touch XXL SE, Kamal 430/430i Up to 32Gb

Note: For OEM partners, please check with the manufacturer / distributor which type/maximum capacity of memory cards are needed for the proper functioning of NDrive
Possible errors after the update process, i.e. when starting the NDrive software for the first time after updating:

The NDrive software does not start up after updating: a file was corrupted during the update process, please contact our Technical Support.
Question marks on NDrive: please try to update the equipment again, if the error persists please contact NDrive Technical Support.

How to check for NDrive updates?

Android

On Android devices, updates are available through Android Market.
To update, enter Android Market and select 'Downloads”. Any available update will be listed in this menu.

Windows Mobile and Symbian

If your NDrive application was purchased through OVI Store (Symbian) or Windows Marketplace (Windows Mobile), all updates are managed by those stores, and every time a new version comes out, you'll be notified by those stores. If you NDrive application were not purchased on OVI Store or Windows Marketplace, before starting the update process, you need to download and install NPlus, a free application that will manage your software and map version, that you can download and install on your computer. After installation connect the device with the computer. As soon as the icon turns red, double-click on it. How to activate my map in NDrive V10/ V11?

GPS Navigation
All purchased maps have a license for subsequent activation.
The map activation is available through NDrive Agent (for V10) or NPlus (V11).
To activate the map, click on NDrive Agent icon with the right mouse button and select 'Activate License'. Then select the map, insert the serial number you have and the map is activated. If you're using NDrive V11, connect the device to NPlus, and select 'Insert License' on the Main Menu.

Android/ Symbian/ Windows Mobile
The maps purchased through the store at Android Market, Ovi store and Windows Marketplace applications do not require serial numbers, since activation is made automatically at the time of installation, and the map is associated with the device's IMEI (Symbian and Android) and the Device ID on

Windows Mobile.
For maps purchased through NDrive website, a serial number is provided. When running the software for the first time, a message will pop up asking for the serial number. At this point the device must be connected to a stable Wi-Fi network. Upon completion of the first activation the map will be linked to the IMEI of the equipment.
A Wi-Fi / 3G / GPRS connection is necessary to complete the NDrive activation process.

Windows Mobile

Installation is via a file with the 'exe' extension which includes the software and specific map. That file is executed from the computer when the memory card is placed in a card reader or in the device whilst connected by data cable and synchronized with your computer.
After completing the installation using the executable file there should be two folders in the memory card. One is named 2577 and the other named NDrive.
The installation should start automatically when the memory card is placed in the device, if it doesn't, explore the contents of the memory card in the device (using File Explorer), open the folder 2577 and run the 'autorun.exe' file there. When the message 'WM6.cab successfully installed' displays, NDrive runs automatically. The device must be connected to the Internet at that time, since a pop-up window displays requesting the input of the serial number in order to register the installed map.

Symbian

Installation is via a file with the 'exe' extension which includes the software and specific map. That file is executed from the computer when the memory card is placed in a card reader or in the device whilst connected by data cable and synchronized with your computer. The equipment should be set as Mass Storage (Data Storage).
After completing the installation from the executable file the memory card should have one folder named NDrive. From the device, navigate to the memory card contents, access NDrive folder and run NDrive.sis.
With the device connected to the Internet, run NDrive software. A pop-up window will display requesting the input of the serial number in order to register the installed map.

Android

Installation is via a file with the 'exe' extension which includes the software and specific map. That file is executed from the computer when the memory card is placed in a card reader or in the device whilst connected by data cable and synchronized with your computer. The device must always be connected to the computer as an external drive (Mass Storage).
Once completed, run NDrive with the device connected to the Internet and, when prompted input the serial number provided by e-mail.

Using Android Market - available in the device's applications menu - search for NDrive application and select the map bundle that suits your needs.
After installation is completed, with an Internet connection, run NDrive software and the purchased maps will be automatically downloaded. Always guarantee that you are connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
In this case, no serial number is provided, since the registration is associated with the IMEI of the device, and it may be reinstalled if necessary, though only in the same device (refer to General terms and conditions, for more information).
